Arena of Valor season begins with a tranquil start thanks to RoV Pro League 2023 Summer.

On April 2, the RoV Pro League 2023 Summer came to an end. This competition served as a qualifier for this season’s mid-season major, the Arena of Valor Premier League 2023. It attracted more concurrent viewers than the last split, and the platform viewership dynamics were impacted by this year’s lack of an app.

Following more than two months of battle, Bacon Time emerged victorious in this 츿10M ($296K) event, earning a substantial ฿6,000,000 ($176K). In the Grand Final, it defeated Valencia CF eSports 4-2, with the runner-up taking home 츿1,800,000 ($52K).

The RoV Pro League 2023 Summer saw 10.09 million hours watched, 235 thousand peak viewers, and 42.9 thousand average viewers. The playoffs on Day 2 of the league produced the highest-rated match. In order to secure their spot in the mid-season tournament and to emerge victorious in the summit match, Bacon Time defeated Valencia CF at that time.

Four out of the five most watched bouts featured Bacon Time, a Thai team with its headquarters, during the event held in Bangkok. Buriram United Esports, another squad with a local headquarters, had a lot of support, replicated this accomplishment, and, sadly, was eliminated in the Upper Bracket Final by their fellow citizens.

The official Garena RoV Thailand channel surpassed others when it came to the most popular broadcasters, hitting 7.5M HW and 168K PV. Third and second place went to the official Garena RoV Thailand and Tournament pages.

without any Booyah! This year, YouTube emerged as the most successful app, rising from 62.51% during the RoV Pro League 2022 Winter to 74.9% at the first event of 2023. While TikTok, while being blocked in some countries, showed a modest boost in data, Valor TV and Facebook witnessed slight declines in their numbers.

In terms of total viewing time and average audience, Bacon Time emerged as the most popular team among the competitors. The team’s average match viewership was 24% higher than that of the closest competitor, Burinam United Esports.

The PV increased 33% in this year’s competition compared to the RoV Pro League 2022 Winter. As a result, the event became the highest attended in the series in four years and ranked second overall in league history based on PV metrics.

The Arena of Valor esports season has gotten off to a calm start thanks to the RoV Pro League 2023 Summer, and spectators will be eager to see what the mid-season tournament has in store. It performed far better than the summer split of 2022, and given the current trend, expectations are high for the upcoming winter split to be equally successful.
