Azzen’Ka (The Forgotten)
I am a part of the sand and the wind.
Azzen’Ka was a strange entity who roamed the desert and was revered by some as a deity. He demanded a gift from everybody who wanted to cross the desert, or they would perish and never find their way. Azzen’Ka is the actual king of the desert since the dangerous terrain has cut it off from the outside world and the never-ending storms have kept the other gods out.
In an effort to conquer this arid, godless land, Thane had more than once led his army into the desert. But it was obvious from failure after failure that Azzen’Ka had nothing to be afraid of from anyone in his dominion. Even the Grim Reaper himself was forced to acknowledge that he had no influence over the desert. He was certain he could overcome Azzen’Ka, but he did not think he was able to calm the sandstorms.
Azzen’Ka was demonized in many works, but travelers said that as long as they made a gift to him, he would ensure their safety. Because of this, he was more dependable and honest than any god in the sky. This explained why people’s views of him were so diametrically opposed. Others simply detested him, while others feared and revered him as a god. Azzen’Ka, of course, gave a damn.
I ban the gods from entering my territory.
