Gildur used to be the richest person on earth. His family’s crest occasionally had more clout than the King’s edict thanks to its extensive holdings across the continent. He was known as The Gilded because of his wealth.

Gildur felt more hollow inside than ever, despite his material affluence. Alcohol and the company of attractive women were his attempts to dull the emptiness, but they had no effect. At that point, he became interested in the Temple of Light since it promoted soul cleaning.

The ceremonial religion immediately filled the vacuum inside Gildur, but being the cynical individual that he is, Gildur knew that the enthusiasm was the same as his prior undertakings; he was, however, in no rush to go. After living a religious life, he understood it might be advantageous. He had more motivation to seek out dominance because of the Temple’s structure.

He rose swiftly through the ranks and eventually became one of the most influential individuals on the continent because to his money.

My desire for power is like a wild animal let loose. I’m not done yet.
