Arena of Valor (AoV) – The Difference Between Arena of Valor (AoV) and League of Legends (LoL)

People who are unfamiliar with either League of Legends (LoL) or Arena of Valor (AoV) may believe that they are the same game. In actuality, the games differ from one another in a number of ways.

Is it a Scam?
Arena of Valor may seem like a copycat to League of Legends players, but it’s not. Arena of Valor is created by Tencent, while League of Legends is created by Riot Games. Riot Games’ parent firm, Tencent, has a much closer ties with Riot Games than an associated company would.

Arena of Valor is a brand-new game with rules and systems tailored to its platform, not just a mobile adaptation of League of Legends. The distinctions between the two games become more obvious the more one plays them.

Arena of Valor can currently only be played on mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and Nintendo Switch, while League of Legends can only be played on PC.

Arena of Valor has the potential to be accessible to many more people than League of Legends is right now because smartphones are more common than PCs that can run the game.

Playability
The MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre, in which players divide into two teams and attempt to destroy the enemy’s base, includes both League of Legends and Arena of Valor. Both have the same primary goal, but many of the play-related specifics are very different.

Characters
League of Legends features 139 characters as of this writing, while Arena of Valor has 42–59 characters, depending on the area. Arena of Valor contains certain characters created in partnership with League of Legends, including Batman and Superman from DC Comics, despite League of Legends having more playable characters.

Power of the Minions
An NPC unit known as a “minion” moves down the paths and engages in combat with any opposing structures or units it encounters. Though they move in smaller groupings, Arena of Valor’s minions are more powerful than those in League of Legends.

Size of a Match
League of Legends battles last between 30 and an hour, but Arena of Valor matches might last anywhere between five and twenty minutes. In addition, whereas Arena of Valor finds matches quickly, League of Legends typically takes a few minutes.

Rank Against
In League of Legends ranked matches, heroes can be banned and chosen by either team in a predetermined sequence using a draft system. The blind pick mode is used in both casual and rated matches in Arena of Valor. Only matches with a diamond or higher have bans (though there are rumors that more players will be able to ban soon).
